Canadian Cities Ranked Among the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the World 2023

Did you know that worldwide cities must have a population of at least one million to be eligible for ranking? Safety, weather, nightlife, environment, attractions, universities, labour force participation, and GDP are among the factors that determine the ranking, although they are not the only ones.

London has maintained its status as the best city in the world to live in for the past seven years. In terms of international investment, opulent real estate, booming tourism, and nightlife, London scores well. We determined that Toronto can benefit from them in a number of ways! Moscow finished fourth in 2022 but, like St. Petersburg, was completely left off the list in 2023.

Toronto

Ranking: 24th

This list’s top city, Toronto, is placed 24th worldwide. Toronto, which has a population of around 6.9 million, is notable for its rapid economic development, which is fueled by high immigration rates and foreign investments. Calgary

Ranking: 65th

With an oil industry that has a significant impact on entrepreneurship, Calgary is portrayed as Canada’s most significant business centre. Its GDP is ranked 22nd worldwide. The city is steadily making up for the effects of the epidemic, which caused unemployment to rise to the highest level in Canada.

Vancouver

Ranking: 69th

Pan-Asian residents are increasing in number in Vancouver. The University of British Columbia, which was rated 18th worldwide, and economic equality, which was ranked 20th globally, are both credited with Vancouver’s reputation for safety and intelligence. It also has a favourable topography that enables the utilisation of various transportation methods.

Ottawa

Ranking: 96th

It is the capital of Canada and known for its intellectual prowess, which draws people to the area. One of the town’s four residents is an immigrant. The majority of Ottawans work for companies that promote clean technology, which opens new job options. As a result, the city has a thriving economy with a 79th-ranked GDP per capita. Because the cost of living is relatively cheap, people have more money to spend on other things.
